Client: Keller Colcrete. Date: 1995

Beacon Hill Tunnel. Monitoring the movement of the eye of a ventilation shaft within the tunnel. The system involved an alarm system that could be used to stop trains if activated.

Client: British Rail Research. Date: 1995

Supply and install a discrete electro-level beam monitoring system and vibrating wire strain monitoring for Holme Tunnel.

Client: Laing Joint Venture. * Date: 1993 - 1995

The design and install an early warning system for the Severn Tunnel (100 year old railway tunnel under the Bristol Channel) for use during the construction of a new motorway bridge (The Second Severn Crossing) straddling the tunnel. The automatic system gave alarms if movements or water ingress at selected locations exceeded pre-set levels. Alarms were relayed via a site computer and radio telemetry to the British Rail Authority and Welsh Water PLC, simultaneously.
