Design and install movement-monitoring systems at 11 Brick St. A major new basement structure was constructed while preserving the integrity of the existing listed building. Electro levels were installed in some of the diaphragm wall piles to allow continuous monitoring as the basement was formed; a jacking arrangement allowed the props to be adjusted to correct any movements. Movements of the excavation were also checked using precise taping. See also structural monitoring.
